TWe are pleased to announce that we have been accredited to Bronze standard by the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS). As part of our accreditation process, we were required to demonstrate that we employ good practices and comply with the requirements laid out by the FORS Standard. This included demonstrating our dedication to driver and vehicle safety, combined with improving operating practices through effective monitoring of fuel and tyre usage.
This is the first step on our journey to creating a safer, smarter and greener fleet, and demonstrates that the processes and procedures we are putting in place are delivering the required outcomes. We have worked with GreenRoad Technologies to install its innovative driver behaviour and fleet management in-vehicle solution within our fleet of cars and vans. This is just one example of the improvements we are making. This new system allows us to make better environmental decisions and improve the existing real time visibility of drivers to utilise their resources more efficiently. Since its introduction we have seen the following improvements:
- The average MPG in our cars rose from 51.35 to 53.2 and the average MPG in our vans rose from 38.6 to 40.7, reducing fuel consumption.
- TThe average CO2 emissions (manufacturers) in our cars reduced from 98.6 to 95 compared (3.65% down) and the average CO2 emissions in our vans reduced from 154.8 to 149 (3.74% down).
